Descension honestly is not as bad as it sounds, probably. Probably! By the way, did you know this page has a twin? Page 18 of Chapter 2 mirrors the set-up to teach you about ascension. So now we can all review and nod about what we have learned!
I’m not sure I understand what they do on the lower mental plane. A notion is an idea, a muse would be the inspiration for higher, more impressive and driven ideas, but what’s a function? Got any examples?
Ah, absolutely! Think like ahhh… the signals you get involuntarily that don’t really correspond to a conscious thought – the call center of the brain that transmits basic messages that are more linked to the physical body. Your eyes shutting when you feel the oncoming tickle of a sneeze (which, by the way, I first wrote as “snickle” and now I feel like this should be an official term for the feeling you get in your nose when you’re about to sneeze… a snickle), that annoying second of being aware of your own breathing that turns into needing to manage your own breath until it floats to the back of your processes, again. A function is probably responsible for you yawning when someone else yawns.
Oh my gosh. So they go from jobs as composers and business managers to SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR? Ultimate give-up mode, engaged! And being that they’re notions and muses, ew, is that where the urge for people on the physical plane to give up comes from..? Yep, unhelpful/harmful… if only because of the giving up. That’s so tragic!
