OMG, I JUST HAD A REALIZATION. Mona is a “muse”! She’s a muse who inspires muses haha. After re-reading the comic, I realized she caused a ripple effect that changed so many people and led to this break from muse tradition. Super cool!
Honestly, Liv, I don’t think she’s a muse per say, she’s still a notion. But she’s a very special notion indeed. I’d think she’s the notion of breaking away from tradition. That’s entirely what she’s done this whole story, and she’s so important. She made friends with muses, she inspired them to break away from the idea they have to leave, that they need to be able to ascend.
Les, my apologies, if my wording was unclear! I didn’t mean she is actually a muse. It was meant to be more of a playful dig at all the characters which drawn such heavy lines between muses and notions, and Mona herself. I love your view though, especially the phrase, “she’s the notion of breaking away from tradition.”
I… I don’t know what to say. I’m just crying, that’s all! :,D
